John Scott – CEO, DrinkWise Australia
A former DrinkWise non-executive director and Chair of the Social Marketing Committee, John has a strong background in major policy development and communications initiatives for government and non-government organisations.
He draws upon two decades of work as an effective leader in strategic marketing and research, and has an impressive breadth of industry experience gained across public and private sectors including multinationals.
John holds a Masters in Primary Health Care and has made extensive contributions across public health, community, government and corporate sectors. He has published and presented widely on his work in public health and on associated consumer communication campaigns.
In 2010, the Australian Market and Social Research Society awarded him with its’ annual Research Effectiveness Award for Communications Strategy Effectiveness for the development of the DrinkWise advertising campaign – Kids Absorb Your Drinking.
